The Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association is devoted to the serious study of music and to broadening the vision and abilities of its members.  The website provides detailed information about the organization's many activities including association sponsored events, student and member performances and NVMTA music scholarship programs.

The George Mason University Center for The Arts presents a wide range of music, dance and theatrical performances throughout the year.

Concerts and recitals by students and faculty of the Department of Music at George Mason University are presented during the academic year at the Center for the Arts and other locations on campus.

Free classical music concerts are sponsored by the Fairfax County Library and are held in the Alden Theatre at the Mclean Community Center. Featured performers are professional musicians of international renown including members of the National Symphony Orchestra.  The Young Soloists Recitals showcase school-age musicians.

The Phillips Collection is a beautiful setting for Sunday afternoon concerts.  The programs are included in the price of admission to the museum.

Many great soloists, chamber ensembles and orchestras may be heard at the Kennedy Center.  There are separate concert series for piano recitals and many other concerts feature pianists as soloist with an orchestra or as a chamber music collaborator.
